Parent Coaching Sessions

What is a parent coaching session?

A parent coaching session is a customized, one-on-one, educational session with a speech language pathologist. These sessions are offered in the comfort of your own home, or virtually upon request.

During a parent coaching session, you will learn about child development and speech therapy strategies to support your child’s speech and language development.

Who is this for?

This is ideal for a parent/child who may not need the full therapy process but are looking for ways to support their child’s speech and language development. This is also ideal for a parent of a child who has a speech and/or language diagnosis, and would like to supplement their therapy sessions with additional education and strategies to support their child at home.

How are parent coaching sessions different from speech therapy sessions?

Speech Therapy is direct, intensive services for the treatment of a diagnosed speech and/or language disorder. Sessions are ongoing until the areas of delay have been remediated.

Parent Coaching is an educational service with the parent and/or caregiver with use of speech therapy strategies to support their child’s speech and language development.

Speech Therapy is for a child who has been diagnosed with a speech and/or language disorder, parent coaching is designed for ALL children.

enhance your child’s expressive vocabulary
transform babbling and jargon into real words
expand play skills
boost your child’s understanding and receptive language
