Intown Speech Therapy LLC, is a private practice that serves children in Atlanta. Our mission is to provide personalized care, develop meaningful connections, and make a positive impact on your child’s life. About Emma:

Emma received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication disorders from the University of Alabama in 2019 and Master of Science in Communicative Sciences & Disorders from the University of South Alabama in 2021.

While in school, she gained experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings working with children and adults. Emma has treated a wide variety of speech and language disorders. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she enjoyed spending time near the water. She also has a musical arts background involving theatre, singing, ballet, and piano. In her free time, she enjoys singing in the community, exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Emma is certified by the Georgia Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology and is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Frequently asked questions:

  • We treat expressive and receptive language disorders, language delays including β€œlate talkers”, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, speech sound disorders including apraxia of speech, fluency and voice disorders, and social-communicative disorders.

  • Parents should seek help by scheduling an evaluation if they believe their child is behind in meeting communication milestones.

  • Although these are not required, it is helpful to formulate a list of your concerns, any specific words/sounds that are difficult for your child, and/or bring an audio recording of your child’s speech to the session.

  • Each session is individualized to meet your child's and family's needs. Your child and therapist will interact through natural and/or structured play-based tasks. The therapist will use books, age-appropriate toys, and other objects or pictures to target various treatment goals.

  • It depends on the type of treatment the child needs and what the child is working towards. Some children might have a session once a week, and others, 2-3 times a week. Treatment can last a few weeks, months, or years.

  • Fees are collected at the time of service in which you will be asked to provide a credit card to keep on file. Fees are are based on travel time, assessment/treatment time, and your child’s needs. You will be provided with an estimate prior to receiving services. Please contact us for more information.

  • At this time, we are an out-of-network provider meaning we do not bill insurance companies for any services. Upon request, we will provide a Superbill for applicable services. You can submit this form to your insurance provider to request reimbursement for our services through your out-of-network benefits.

  • Depending on the child’s needs, we can certainly discuss possibilities for treatment in your child’s school.
